Belle Arjona began her Yoga journey in 1999 at Glenelg as a Iyengar Yoga student and then went on to study Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Mindfulness, Children’s Yoga and Therapy. She began instructing Yoga in 2015 and launched her business 'Bellarosa Yoga'. Belle is guided by her intuition and creates a space for you to awaken to new insights about your body, mind and spirit.
Her classes are carefully sequenced and incorporates meditation, mindfulness, anatomy and yoga philosophy. Poses are modified to cater for individual needs and a range of yoga props are encouraged to support students in their practice.
Yin yoga increases our understanding of how we can live within our true essence and live in harmony with nature. A calm, restorative, healing approach that balances a faster pace of life, or an active style of being to a more gentler, yet deeper practice.
During the season of Winter, just as nature intended you may find yourself hibernating and staying closer to your heat source and avoid going outside in fear of being cold. Yin wisdom helps us to listen to our body and cultivate a sense of stillness and peace. To understand the theoretical understandings and benefits of Yin Yoga you have to experience it for yourself in your own body. We may rest and restore the body back to balance.
At this special event Belle will guide you through a series of mindfulness techniques to journey inward and you will learn how to listen to your body. A series of poses have been planned to focus on organs and emotions associated to Winter, clearing energetic pathways to allow your vital energy to flow more smoothly. You will learn about meridians, the three main principles within each pose and what you may experience during each stage and how to gently transition to the next pose.
You're invited to arrive from 1:45pm our doors will be open for you to set up your comfortable nest. We will start on time and finish with a healing hot cup of tea. As requested, time has been set aside to rest in savasana and after you may share in each others' experiences or gently slip away.
What to bring: At Samasta Yoga Studio we supply all yoga props however, you’re very welcome to bring along your personal bolster, blankets, blocks, eye pillow and any other items that will support you in your Yin Yoga practice.
